Good Sunday morning all!

It's been over a month since I've posted anything about anything so I guess I better hop to it.

It's a beautiful sunny day here in Illinois(where I am). The temp is 75 which is welcoming since I just came back from visiting my family in Texas over Labor Day and it was HOT but it's worth it being able to see my sister and niece. We always have a great time. I'm hoping someday to be able to move back to Texas, I miss it....yes even the triple digit summers. As long as there are air conditioners, I'm fine!

Anyway, I apologize for not posting more often. I never seem to find the time. I have 2 stitchy updates for now.

Here's my first finish...

"Star Spangled Garden" by Country Cottage Needleworks stitched on 18ct Aida "Aerial" by Picture This Plus. It's going into my drawer of finishes for now.

My second finish is....
I finished stitching this sometime ago and finally got around to making it into a candle mat. It's "Honey Bees" by Prairie Grove Peddler.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and thank you for hopping by today!

Welcome to Soggy Toad Stitching!

You may know me as "Cherished Creations" - everyone counts. I've changed the name to Soggy Toad Stitching in honor of my Mom who past away 1 year ago, August 4th, 2012. It's hard to believe it's been a year. My Mom told me a story of when she was little she called toad frogs "toad soggies" according to her Dad so I thought what a cute name for a blog just changed a bit! Have a great Sunday!

Same Blog....different name

Under Construction.....please stand by

Finally......A Finish!!

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Yes, I finally finished "A Good Day". I can't remember when I started it (among a couple of others I started at the same time). I hadn't been stitching that much on anything(no mojo I guess) until I got back from Texas over Memorial Day weekend (which was awesome!)then all of a sudden a big gust of wind caught my sail and off I went!

I also started another project a while ago....

I hope to finish it by July, we'll see!
Have a great week! Thank you for stopping by!

A finish

I definitely need tips on taking photos! It's hard to see the colors. I stitched this ornament with DMC variegated floss which is different than the variations. It's the first time to try these threads....

A few new starts...what?!

Ok....I'm diving in...feet first! I never could dive hands first, I needed one hand to hold my nose, ha! I've already started the 2013 Feb Ornament by STNA, not enough to show yet but here's a picture of what it looks like. The second one is " A Good Day" by The Sunflower Seed and the third is "Dance of the Tulips" by Cheryl Granda. Wish me luck!

Progress on Now Dash Away All

It's slow but steady progress. It's easier for me to stitch this during the day when there is more natural light coming through the windows. I still use my overhead light and a lap light to see. I really hope to finish soon.

A new finish.....finally!

I'm so excited, I finished the first ornament of the year from Stitching the Night Away's 2013 Ornament Club. I stitched it on 16ct Aurora by Picture This Plus. Now on to the next one.

Picking up where I left off...

I decided to pick this back up after a 2 year hiatus! I actually bought this about 15 years ago and had started it but put it away. I'm determined to finish it. It's called "Now Dash Away All" by Janlynn.
